Fine Dining and Special Events

The Musical Offering celebrates Berkeley’s rich classical music community with pre-performance fine dining, on evenings when there is an event at a nearby venue, and in-house concerts, featuring many outstanding musicians who call the Bay Area home. We will update this page weekly with upcoming events, so check back regularly! For more long-term planning, you can take a look at our calendar, at the bottom of the page.

Because the RIOULT Dance NY concert will be held in the Zellerbach Playhouse, rather than the much larger Zellerbach Hall, we will not be offering a formal dinner service tonight. Instead, the cafe will be observing it's regular service hours, (8:00am to 6:00pm), and serving it's usual daytime menu. All orders must be placed at the counter by 5:45pm. Patrons may stay in the cafe until 7:15pm. For more information, call the cafe at (510) 948-0211.

Time: 1:00 pm

This week, we've heard that members of The Town and their friends are planning to put our upright piano to good use during their performance time. This may mean sonatas or piano trios, maybe a piano quintet? Come in to see and hear the live music, enjoy it with your nice lunch.

* CD Release PartyCD Release Party

Time: 7:00 pm

For the later birds or night owls: After our regular business hours on Sunday May 7th at 7:00pm: The Musical Offering CD Shop is hosting a CD release reception in honor of 'Poldowski Art Songs', a newly released CD on the DELOS label. Soprano Angelique Zuluaga has a rich voice, of great tenderness and subtle beauty, a sound well suited to championing the compositions of the female composer Poldowski, (pseudonym of Régine Wieniawski), a gifted composer of songs, who set many poems by Verlaine, in a style showing affinity with that of other Belle Époque composers, particularly Claude Debussy.
